Male Hairloss Leads To Male Pattern Baldness

July 21st, 2009

There are many theories about male hairloss leading to baldness in men and they range from genetics to the wearing of hats. Some generalize that whatever stops the flow of blood to the scalp is the common cause. But it’s enough to know that it is common and for most of this century until now no cure has been found. In my teen years I was always amused by the man with a slick of hair pasted across his scalp too look normal – it didn’t! Then there was of my bosses who wore a toupee – a male wig- and it looked like a birds nest. Such has been the importance to men to have a good hair of head look and now in this modern world we finally have some genuine hairloss remedies

Today male pattern baldness which goes by the name androgenetic alopecia and it is known to be caused by male hormones.  So much research has been given to stop hairloss in men and this new understanding of cause leading to pattern baldness is a huge step forward.

Today’s hair-restorer ideas and potions range from having the sunlight on the scalp on regular basis and or the use of laser shots to stimulate growth. Our Tele advertisements today have many ads relating to baldness and top sportsmen are used to demonstrate and sell products. They sell their product on the basis that it worked for this star and it will work for you.

One of the main chemicals in use is minioxidil- it is under the brand name of Regaine and has many celebrated people claiming it has been a true hairloss remedy. Minoxidil does actually give growth to new hair and it starts as sort of fuzz and after continued treatment gains thickness with the same coloring as surrounding hair. Its weak point is that when you stop using it the hair begins to fall away and after 2 months you are back where you were before the treatment

Perhaps the most popular treatment is to have hair grafted into the scalp by taking hair from the back of the head where the quality of hair is secure over a lifetime and so its quality continues in the new graft to the balding area. There have been crude grafting procedures in the early days with men’s heads looking like a field of low growing wheat clumps. However today there is a sophisticated surgery transplant method, which has given the receiver a natural look and cannot be distinguished from the normal hair.

The oral pill Propecia is now overtaking the time of messy potions and surgery and because it has no real side effects its popularity is at a high tide at this time. And so Propecia is the product of choice for hair loss treatments because it avoids messy daily scalp applications and surgery. Propecia needs some medical advice before use as it some cases it has caused mild heart complaints.

Alcohol has caused my hairloss, what vitamins should I take?!?

July 20th, 2009

I have found out that I’ve had significant hair loss from alocohol, I drink about every weekend and sometimes here and there during the week. From the research I’ve done I learned that alcohol leads to a deficiency in iron, folic acid and zinc which help with hair growth. I have been taking zinc supplements and drinking Ensure, but are there any other minerals or vitamins that I should be taking since I drink. And if so should I take them after or before drinking. (I also know that it mind sound stupid, but please don’t say stop drinking, I would appreciate any answers that would help, I am getting really worried, thank you

anyway as you know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few. but anyway you can always try and get real results.

year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The ‘B’ vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed
It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for him!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.com/?id=fc7a24

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

good luck!

does anyone here take propecia for male pattern hairloss?

July 20th, 2009

i was thinking of going to the doctor to talk about getting some propecia. i was wondering how much it costs?

Hey I know hair loss can be a problem for young men.. I went through it too..but I’d recommend.. if it matters that much to you.. save up and get a hair transplant. I tried all the drugs.. even polysorbate 60 or 80.. years ago.. Being bald is not a problem for me now. Personally, any MD who is honest will tell you.. it might slow hair loss, but for the most part it will not regrow lot’s of hair.

Need help choosing Hairloss remedy?

November 16th, 2009

I’m 21 now and im starting to lose hair on the frontal and top part of my head. Its getting really thin and i can see the skin underneath when i look in a mirror under a light. Right now i can cover it alittle with the hair thats there, but i want to at least try a hairloss product now, than wait and lose all my hair. I dont think i can use rogaine cause it says its not for the frontal region. Now about Propecia i heard it works well, does it work on the front and top part of my head or will it only do the crown. I heard u need a presciption to get Propecia. Hair Restoration is also out of the ques. cause i cant afford it right now. Also i have no benefits at my age cause i only work a partime job so no insurance for a doctor.
How much does a visit cost and what type of doctor do you need to see to get Propecia?
Ive seen the side effects.

I already have short hair and shaving it off is outta the question cause the shape of my head and face is oval so it wont look right bald.

Hi, there are vitamins you can take for healthy hair and to help prevent hair loss, the downside of this is that taking excessive amounts of vitamins can actually lead to hair loss.

Some of the most important vitamins for hair loss are the B vitamins because they contain ยท Folic acid, agnesium, biotin, sulfur, zinc, inositol. If you look at taking vitamins for hair loss, you will notice that these are vitamins essential for good health as long as you take them in moderation.

good luck!

PLEASE HELP ME!!!! suffereing from HAIRLOSS?

November 16th, 2009

im 14 year old girl… and ive lost really much hair….
i lose really much everyday and its become very thin…
i used to have very thick hair… now its only 1/4 of that…

PLEASE HELP ME! WHAT SHOULD I DO

If you are really concerned, go and see a doctor about this, they might be able to advise you better depending on your special circumstances.
Try to eat a healthy and balanced diet, Your shampoo might also be affecting your scalp.
Try organic shampoo if you can afford it or at least switch to a different (more natural) brand for a few month and see if it gets better.
If you have really long hair, it might seem to you that you are loosing a lot. When it actually isn’t too much at all.
If you don’t want to go to a doctor right away, you could try asking a pharmacist about their recommendations.

Will I never have kids?

November 16th, 2009

I’m 33 and have made myself impotent through drugs, propecia for hairloss specifically, and it got worse AFTER I stopped! Balls also shrunk…
I’m resigned to being imotent and single for a few years until science can help me out - do you think I have blown my chance of having kids biologically? I have had total ed for nearly a year and there seems to be no cure.

Hi trojan (how many accounts have u had now?)

Well this a new take on your problem.

Only a fertility specialist would be able to give you this answer.

Yes, Balls shrink when u don’t masturbate.

What did early humans look like???

November 13th, 2009

I want to know what humans looked like thousands of years ago. Did they look similar to now. Did they have the same hairline pattern and beard and hairloss pattern. Did they have eyes, nose, mouth, ears and get gray hair and everything else like what most humans look like. Are humans related and another animal thats similar. what did early humans look lke. How old is male pattern baldness and how long has it been in history. Do other animals and early humans have similar features.

Good question.

Humans, in general terms, will have looked similar to how they do today; beards and all. Humanity might have lost much of its body hair before leaving africa, as an adaptation to the heat there. Subsequently, wearing clothes has meant that we have not had a pressure to become hairier again.
However, this is conjecture - hair does not fossilise well, so it is difficult to be certain about how hairy any perhistoric animals were, including Homo erectus (Homo sapiens’ immediate precursor).

Now, since the life expectancy of primitive man would have been much lower than now - baldness would have been rarer (men won’t often have lived long enough to go bald). The same is true of grey hairs, of course.

Finasteride (propecia, proscar) !? Pharmacologists, doctors, biochemists, balding guys, etc. HELP!?

November 10th, 2009

I’m taking finasteride currently to combat the onsetting effects of androgenetic alopecia which has been bestowed upon my family like some kind curse out of hell. Anyways, I was wondering if it matters at all if one takes propecia or proscar. I USED to take propecia 1 mg, specifically marketed for male-pattern hairloss but NOW I am taking proscar 5 mg, which is marketed for preventing the development of prostatic cancer. I use a pill splitter to cut one 5 mg pill into two 2.5 mg halves. My actual concern resides in the cutting of the pill. I use one 2.5 mg half each day, leaving the other half in the blister pack, which is obviously now ruptured exposing the ingredients of the pill to the atmosphere for around 24 hours. Is this OK!?!? I mean, is there any denaturing of the ingredients or diminishing of their effects occuring when exposing this cut pill to oxygenation? Is it still effective? It’s cheaper to cut proscar and cut it up than it is to buy propecia and swallow it whole. Help.

The cutting is fine.

cosmatich tech?

November 10th, 2009

I would like to all the new technology or new scientific methods to make people better looking. What new products or process are brand new
or coming on the horizen for vain and cosmetic people? For example

there is a new shot or pill coming out that makes you look tan by

increasing the melatonin in your body! What things can you found that

will take our insecurities away! Look into fat loss, musscle

gain,hairloss,tanning,plastic surgry,skin and so on.

Pevonia Skin Care - their products are botanical based (plant), all natural, and not tested on animals. What makes their products superior is that their technology is the most advanced in the beauty industry. They produce their products on a sub-molecular level allowing their products to actually penetrate the skin. Imagine being able to replenish the collagen and elastin to the cells in your skin.

Note: The majority of skin care products are not scientifically formulated like Pevonia is and the collagen, elastin, and other goodies just sit on your skin without actually penetrating its surface.

check pevonia out on the web and discover the truth!

I cut my hair recently and wanna style it! but i dont wanna use gel,………?

November 7th, 2009

hey ppl

k i cut my hair, and i wanna style it wherever i go

but i dont wanna use gel, as it causes my hair to fall out

Are their any products that i can use to give my hair the "gel" look but not cause any hairloss

I have no idea what the "gel" look is but my hair is so fine that gel makes it feel like carboard…even though I use so little of it.

I like to use mousse. It holds my style but doesn’t make my hair stiff. You might want to give it a try.
